A lot of people that I knew were fans of Michael Jordan growing up. It almost got to the point that you couldn't walk more than a block or so without seeing the familiar red #23 jersey with the word "Jordan" on the back of it. And don't get me wrong -- I enjoyed watching His Airness play, too. He transcended the game in so many ways, creating shots out of nowhere, dunking with a combination of elegance and power that no one had exhibited before and his game influenced millions of youngsters around the world who practiced his moves on the playground day after day. However one person who is no longer a fan is Bryon Russell. You might remember Russell as the man tasked with guarding Jordan during the battles between Utah and Chicago in the Finals -- particularly the play where Jordan (conveniently moving him out of the way with his off-hand) hit a jumper over Russell to give them the championship in what should have been Jordan's last game,
But now, offended by Jordan's Hall of Fame speech, Russell is challenging Jordan to a game of one-on-one to help settle the score. Apparently the Cal State Long Beach alum was offended by Jordan's speech in which Jordan mentioned where his motivation came to dominate opponents and Russell is challenging Jordan to come out to California to play a game of one-on-one, which Russell obviously feels as though he'll win.
Here at Starving Students, we'd like to offer the winner of the potential one-on-one matchup the opportunity to use our

What was the most memorable moment at last night's MTV Video Music Awards show? Was it Janet Jackson's tribute to her late brother that you'll remember most? Or will it be Lady Gaga's outfits that you'll remember most from the production? Chances are a lot of us will remember and be talking about Kanye West for quite a while. You see, it wasn't just that Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for winning the Best Female Music Video, it was the way he did it. Grabbing the microphone from Taylor Swift and announcing that Beyonce should have won the award while Taylor was in the middle of thanking all of those that helped her win her award was what was so surprising -- even for Kanye. It also didn't help that Taylor stood there motionless like a deer in the headlights, not knowing what to do.
What won't make you or Taylor blush is our Back To School discount, which can save you $20 on your next move. Go ahead and shoot us an e-mail

The NFL season got underway this past weekend and while there were many stories that came out of the exciting season openers, perhaps the biggest news was that Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher is out for the season due to a dislocated right wrist, an injury that he suffered in their opening season loss to the Green Bay Packers Sunday night. The Pro Bowl linebacker's injury is a striking blow to a Bears team that had high expectations following the acquisition of quarterback Jay Cutler this past offseason. Urlacher had started 49 consecutive games in his 10-year career and has missed only seven games -- all of those in the 2004 season when he injured his hamstring. The news that Urlacher will miss the team's remaining regular season games ensures that he will more than double his previous missed games total.
If you're feeling down about the news about Brian Urlacher missing the rest of this season, go ahead and cheer up with our Back To School discount and see if you can save $20 on your move. Send us an e-mail
