To Whom It May Concern,
It gives me great pleasure to write to you about three exceptional employees, Eldon Clarke, Horace Lewis and William.
I’ll start by telling you that a friend and myself were exchanging furniture from one house to the other. Knowing the move was impossible on our own, we called Starving Students, Inc.
The movers arrived. In charge was Eldon and with him were William and Horace.
My first impression of Eldon was that of a young gentleman, very proper. It wasn’t long before he took total control which gave us peace of mind. When it came to Eldon’s job performance he showed professional concern and is definitely committed to excellence. One of Eldon’s best assets is that he communicates with credibility and confidence.
As far as Horace and William is concerned they were well informed about their job duties and took ever precaution to protect all that was being moved. I have never seen furniture wrapped up and protected in this way. They informed us that nothing would be damaged and they were right! Nothing was…William and Horace were also very professional gentleman. There was very little talking between the 3 men. They are definitely on a mission and this job was their priority. I have to say that all three of them went over and beyond the call of duty. I will definitely call on Starving Students, Inc. again and recommend them to all my friends.
I will tell you that Eldon, William and Horace gives “Old fashion customer service” WOW…what’s that like? It hasn’t been around for years! But obviously it’s alive and well at Starving Students!
As someone who has dealt with the public for a number of years (30 to be exact), I recognize the importance of first impressions and good customer service. Eldon, William and Horace have those qualities that make them a good representative for Starving Students. Your company must be proud to have them all on board.
In closing, I hope these individuals are recognized for a job well done because it truly made a stressful situation a lot easier knowing these 3 employees’ were performing so well.
It is always important to complain when things are not going well, but it is much more so to recognize quality in people, when such a thing is found.

I am sending you this message as your team members are just leaving. I normally would have a few other priorities with a house full of stuff to unpack, but this was worth taking the time for.
Our move was "easy" from one apartment to another in the same complex. The difficult part came from the fact that the unit had been broken in to. I was embarassed to even have anyone have to navigate around the "stuff" that had been left about.
The two gentlement were beyond kind and helpful. I have been a manager in retail for years and must say that your organization should be very proud of these team members. Our place was disorganized, I was upset by having to even be there, and it was less than an ideal job to walk in to. After having someone go through our belongings in the manner they had, it was a bit unnerving to even consider bringing strangers in to handle the move.
This team exemplified the quality of work managers hope their employees provide. Unsupervised, considerate, courteous, efficient, and quality work. I could not have been more impressed with their work.
Thank you for a process that was handled beautifully from start to finish. You should be very proud of the work your employees do--we are so glad we had them to help today!

As per our telephone conversation, I thought I'd give you some feedback on our experience with Starving Students who we engaged to move our personal belongings from Fremont to Pasadena. Overall, both my husband and I are happy with the service as it made our relocation experience that much easier. We were provided with all the relevant information upfront, clarified there'd be no extra/hidden charges. In fact, it was very helpful to talk to you after the move, as you found out that there was an over-charge and very promptly organised to have it rectified - so the initial quote and the final figure match. The truck drivers - Robert and Victor did a great job. They were very helpful, placed the items, boxes and book-shelves exactly where I'd indicated and re-assembled the bed before they left.
Thank you Mac for the prompt response and following through with my queries - from responding to my initial query to completing the move.
I will most certainly consider Starving Students Moving Company for any future relocations and have no hesitations in recommending the services to other users.

Our two movers were incredible. We had a very difficult couch to move and they did not complain. They were fast, professional, and frankly quite sweet. We didn't feel ripped off or uncomfortable (which was our former experience with another company) and again our guys were the best!

This was my 14th move and I have never been treated with such respect and courtesy nor, have my belongings and new residence been treated so carefully.
Mike R. and Harley D. were gentlemen and worked diligently (they did not take any breaks) and were willing to follow my directions as to the placement of all my furniture and boxes. This was a new experience for me.
I will most definitely be recommending your company to everyone I know who will be moving. One can only hope that the employees who help them will be fo the same caliber as Mike D. and Harley D.

The service I received while arranging the move on the phone was superior. I received prompt and courteous answers and call backs from Keith H. and understood all the charges and arrangements the first time I called.
Even though it was a small move, your company treated us as if we were a huge move. I contacted 3 other movers of which I received not one call back. I appreciated and respected the professionalism of Keith and since I was on a tight time frame, Keith made it all so simple.
I might also add that your company had the best rates.

Oh hi my name is Jackie P. and I am in Arlington, VA, I just had a move with your Starving Students guys. I asked the operator who to put me though to and so they put me through to you. I’ve gottta say these guys are great. They’re the third or fourth company I’ve been with trying to do this little simple move and all the other paid ones, including Beacon which has a great reputation, they broke things, they showed up late, they were kinda, you know, funny. And it’s cost me a lot.
These guys showed up early. Kept checking on me. Kept making sure I was okay. They got over here. They even hooked up my TV and got a cable all set. They were just great! They were polite, did everything nicely. Now that I’ve seen what the other companies are like, I thought, they deserve someone to compliment them because it’s not normal, what’s normal is that the other guys are awful.
The three guys names, I’m going to tell you, is Marshall, and then there was Voderick and the other one was Christian. Christian, Marshall and Voderick. They were great! Jackie P., and that’s what I’m telling you. Okay Merry Christmas. |

But I moved 30 times in the last 30 years at least. Just due to different jobs, different reasons and but it was the best move I’ve ever had. It was efficient. Recently the company I work for, had a fairly sizeable move of items from our office to a storage facility. On the morning of December 5th, Larry, Adrian, and Asia, showed up on time and ready to work. They helped moved hundreds of metal desk pieces and desk tops for four straight hours. I was quite impressed with their professionalism, their work ethic and their friendliness. I rarely, if ever, take the time to sit down and write a letter commending people’s work, but in this case it seemed appropriate considering the fantastic work they did.

Hello Starving Students:
I want to thank you for providing the solution to avert a disastrous moving experience, namely, Starving Students movers Rodney B. and Michael T.
We moved from a small two bedroom apartment, so small that once boxes were packed they had to be moved outside to allow enough space for additional packing. The apartment was a mess, our time was running short, and fatigue had won the battle. We were awakened on the morning of the move by Rodney and Michael. By the time I finished my abbreviated morning constitution, Rodney and Michael had loaded the outside boxes and were closing and loading the already packed boxes that were left inside the house.
As they closed and loaded boxes, we packed the remaining items, and tried to keep up with their pace. It looked as if they were concerned with the clock, efficiency and definite professionalism. These guys were not lollygagging around, they handled their business.
Upon reaching our destination, Rodney and Michael were at it again. The same courteous, businesslike mannerisms were displayed. These guys were friendly, but not over the top, working hard to give us the most efficient move we could expect.
Thank you Starving Students Moving Company for assigning Rodney and Michael to our move. I never once worried about my furniture on the truck with these guys at the helm.

I had a great customer service experience with my recent Starving Students long-distance move & wanted to openly compliment the two gentlemen who worked with me - Sandy Serrano & Edward. I moved from Los Gatos, CA to Orange County, CA on 10/22 - a very big deal for me since I live alone and had to manage the move while working full-time.
Sandy & Edward were on time, courteous and careful with my loads of stuff, for both legs of the trip. They even politely diffused a situation with my crazy neighbor in Los Gatos who had an issue with them parking the truck in my driveway (go figure).
